Client Need

A large bank was keen to equip its relationship managers at the retail bank to offer wealth management solutions and advise clients appropriately.They had an internal accreditation program, but felt the need for more functionally relevant and rigorous training.


The CIEL Solution

CIEL did a functional mapping to understand the role, functions and client expectations from the retail relationship managers. The relationship managers also took on on-line diagnostic test on CIEL's test portal.

Based on the analytical results, CIEL offered the Wealth Management (Intermediate) Certification, customised to a study plan that included reading materials, self study module on-line on CIEL's portal, classroom training across pan-India locations, quizzes and online exam to monitor progress and a final exam to complete the certification.


Outcome

Post the certification exercise, the bank reported higher productivity and interest in resolving client needs for asset allocation and better quality of advice.  The bank decided to make it mandatory for all its retail relationship managers to undergo the Wealth Management Certification.
