Overview 

CIEL is a learning solutions company focused on competency building for the investments and financial services sector. CIEL’s approach to learning combines conceptual clarity with practical application. We offer computer-based self learning modules, instructor-led classrooms and a blend of both, supported by quizzes and exams.

CIEL’s training programs are created based on  functional competency mapping exercises to identify the essential inputs for specific job roles and functions. We build the body of knowledge that specifically addresses the identified competencies and test our learners based on the defined set of objectives.

CIEL’s online courses have been completed by over 3000 users; over 5000 learners have completed our classroom courses; over 4000 learners have registered for CIEL’s Wealth Management Certification courses.

Learner Groups               

The learner groups that CIEL has worked with include employees of banks, mutual funds and financial advisory businesses, who are engaged in functions such as customer services, front, middle and back office operations, sales and channel management, retail banking advisory, wealth advisory, relationship management, private banking, product design and research.

Wealth Management Certification

CIEL has created a certification programme in Wealth Management. The certification builds competency in investment principles, markets, products, asset allocation and financial planning and is offered at three level of complexity – basic, intermediate and advanced.

Several clients, including banks and distribution houses have adopted the CIEL certification as their internal accreditation programme.

Books

CIEL has published four books. The book Understanding Mutual Funds has sold over 20,000 copies; the book Wealth Management (Basic) has sold over 5000 copies. Two of our books have been prescribed as essential reading for mandatory certification examinations conducted by the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) for registrars and transfer agents.

Accreditation

CIEL has been empanelled by National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) created by SEBI to offer training programs for continuing professional education (CPE) of mutual fund advisors and distributors. Uma Shashikant, Managing Director, CIEL, has been associated with NISM as a subject matter expert for their exams.
